1Shot-type vocabulary grew (tip, bat, poke, between-legs). From 2022-23 the NHL records bat, poke, between-legs and cradle, words it never used before, and more tip-ins: Other begins there and Tip-in and deflected steps up with it.
2Wrist and snap re-coded - shown together. In 2024-25 the NHL began calling many wrist shots snap shots: wrist fell from 54.6% of attempts in 2023-24 to 43.3% in 2025-26 while snap rose from 14.0% to 24.9%, their sum unchanged. So the two are one series.
